After testing many recipes for a forthcoming cookbook, I’m thrilled to share that the book has finally been released—and I had the chance to meet Jaden from Steamy Kitchen at her first book signing in New York City.
I’ve followed her blog for several years and admire her creative, no-nonsense approach to cooking. At the signing she was warm and down-to-earth, sharing entertaining stories about how she got started in the kitchen and what inspires her recipes.
I’m looking forward to trying more dishes from her new book—many of her recipes are practical and delicious, perfect for home cooks who want bold flavors without fuss.
My partner, Dino, had actually seen some of her recipes prepared in our kitchen, so he decided to come to NYC with me on his day off—an unexpected treat. Even better, he won a copy of MacSpeech Dictate in one of the event giveaways.
We also met several other bloggers while there, including Deb and Alex from Smitten Kitchen (who brought along their adorable baby) and Chelsea from Chelsea’s Chew & Run Fun, who is building an engaging food-and-fitness resource.
The day was beautiful and meeting fellow food enthusiasts in person made the event even more enjoyable.
