This Herb Butter Roasted Turkey Breast is an easy, flavorful option for Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving. It’s oven-ready and a great alternative to roasting a whole turkey.

With smaller gatherings or a busy holiday schedule, a turkey breast simplifies planning and cooking. It takes less time, uses less oven space, and still delivers tender, well-seasoned meat—perfect when you want a classic turkey flavor without the fuss of a whole bird.

Why a Turkey Breast Is a Great Choice
If you’re cooking for a smaller group, choosing a turkey breast is an efficient, delicious option. It’s quicker to roast, easier to carve, and still offers the comforting flavors of holiday poultry. This recipe uses an oven-ready turkey breast for convenience, but the herb butter elevates the dish with fresh, aromatic flavors and a crisp, herb-speckled crust.

The turkey breast used here was Jennie-O Oven Ready, which makes preparation minimal—simply remove from the package and apply the herb butter. No full thawing or complex prep required. The herb butter adds moisture and flavor and forms a beautiful, golden crust as it roasts.

This recipe is perfect if you want a straightforward, crowd-pleasing main without the stress of a whole turkey. It’s simple to prepare, impressive on the table, and delicious sliced and served alongside your favorite sides.
