Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey Sliders

These cheesy pull-apart sliders combine classic Thanksgiving flavors into an easy party-style dish. We like to add plenty of cheese with the turkey, but feel free to mix in any leftovers you have—mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, or candied yams all work. Everything comes together when baked, and the result is a gooey, savory slider your family will devour. This recipe is flexible and forgiving, so use what you have on hand and adjust quantities to taste.

Make Ahead

You can prep this dish a day in advance. Assemble the sliders in the baking dish, cover, and refrigerate. When ready to bake, remove the dish from the fridge about 1 hour beforehand so it comes closer to room temperature—this helps the center heat through evenly. If the dish is very cold, it will need extra bake time. If desired, cover loosely for the first 10–15 minutes to prevent the tops from browning too quickly.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup leftover slices of turkey (approx.)
  • 1 cup leftover mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup leftover stuffing
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup gravy
  • as much cheese as you want, divided
  • other optional leftover ingredients
  • 12 dinner rolls or Hawaiian rolls (1 package)

GARLIC PARSLEY BUTTER

  • 1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons minced parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Brush a 9×13-inch baking dish with melted butter or spray with cooking spray.
  • Make the garlic parsley butter: combine butter, minced garlic, and parsley in a small bowl and microwave just until melted. Set aside.
  • Slice the slider buns in half. Place the bottom halves in the baking dish. Add half of the cheese over the bottoms, then layer with turkey and other leftovers. Spoon gravy and cranberry sauce where desired, then top with the remaining cheese. Place the tops of the buns over the filling.
  • Brush the bun tops with the garlic parsley butter. Bake until the cheese melts and the sliders are heated through, about 15 minutes. If your leftovers are very cold, allow extra baking time so the centers warm completely. Serve warm.
